COLOR COATED COIL

Color-coated coils are made of hot-dip galvanized sheet, hot-dip aluminum-zinc sheet, electro-galvanized sheet, etc. as substrates. After surface pretreatment (chemical degreasing and chemical conversion treatment), one or several layers of organic coatings are applied on the surface, and then baked and cured. It is named after the colored steel coils coated with various colors of organic coatings, and is referred to as color-coated coils.

PRODUCT USES

Color-coated coils are light, beautiful, and have good corrosion resistance. They can also be processed directly. The colors are generally divided into gray, sea blue, and brick red. They are mainly used in advertising, construction, home appliances, electrical appliances, furniture, and transportation.

The coatings used for color-coated coils select suitable resins according to different use environments, such as polyester silicon-modified polyester, polyvinyl chloride plastisol, polyvinylidene chloride, etc. Users can choose according to the purpose.

TYPES OF COLOR-COATED COIL COATINGS

Polyester

Good adhesion, rich colors, a wide range of formability and outdoor durability, medium chemical resistance, and low cost.

Silicone modified polyester

i.e. (SMP), good hardness, wear resistance and heat resistance of the coating, as well as good exterior durability and resistance to chalking, gloss retention, average flexibility, and medium cost.

High durability polyester

i.e. (HDP), excellent color retention and UV resistance, excellent outdoor durability and resistance to chalking, good film adhesion, rich colors, and excellent cost performance.

Polyvinylidene fluoride

i.e. (PVDF), excellent color retention and UV resistance, excellent outdoor durability and resistance to chalking, excellent solvent resistance, good moldability, dirt resistance, limited colors, and high cost.
